Submit the application and accompanying documentation to the Highlands High School guidance office before the close of the school day on the published due date.
March 15th may fall on a day that the guidance office is not available to the student. (A day that the school is closed, or the guidance office is closed). When this happens the effective due date is the last day the guidance office was accessible to the student prior to March 15th.
It is the goal of MCSF to digitize the applications, redact the applicant’s name, and allow the screening committee to begin their review by March 17th.
MCSF cannot extend the due date based on the inability of the student to submit an application on the published due date.
It is recommended that students be aware of the accessibility to the school and guidance office and submit applications early instead of hoping to justify submitting after the committee has begun their process.

March 15, 2025, is on a Saturday.
IF YOU ARE SUBMITTING THROUGH THE GUIDANCE OFFICE
The applications and all supporting documents must be received in the Highlands High School Guidance Counselor’s Office by 2:00 PM on Friday, March 14, 2025, to facilitate pick-up and processing of applications within the timeframe identified above.

Tips:
- Your application packet will be converted into an electronic format and your name redacted. Wherever possible, use your HHS student ID # as identification of your application submission pages.
- The MCSF screening committee has consistently expressed that the essay is weighted the highest consideration for evaluating and ranking the applications. Each prompt is designed for an opportunity for you to introduce yourself to the committee.
