Where is he now?
2023 – July
Ethan is now a junior at the University of Kentucky, still majoring in Biochemistry with dreams of medical school. This past school year, Ethan continued to swim for the club team and run on the side, but has shifted his focus to rock climbing, where he has now placed in two competitions. This year, Ethan started working in a research lab on campus in the department of Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics. And, in honor of Michelle, he finally saw Hamilton performed live on stage.
At the beginning of his summer, Ethan traveled out west with his girlfriend to visit family in Utah and go hiking! Now, he is working as a research tech in his lab, where he can now oversee and further work on research projects. This includes his own project, which studies the effects of Alcohol Use Disorder. As a fun side note, a MCSF pen is being used to write all of his notes for the project.

2022 – July
Ethan is now a sophomore at the University of Kentucky majoring in Biochemistry, with minors in Biology, and Microbiology. He is also on the pre-med track and a part of the Lewis Honors College.
Throughout the school year, Ethan became involved with the club swim team, competing in sprint and freestyle and butterfly events. He also joined the Alpha Chi Sigma fraternity, a chemistry based academic fraternity. He has met lots of close friends through these groups, and has loved every second. Aside from school, Ethan trained and ran in two marathons, the Flying Pig in Cincinnati and the Buffalo Marathon in New York.
Over the summer, Ethan worked at the Highland Country Club as both a swim coach and a lifeguard, as well as lifeguard at NKU. He is extremely grateful for this scholarship for helping him make it through his freshman year. #LiveFreeLikeMichelle
