“Rudi is one of the best leaders I have witnessed. Rudi leads with love and keeps the goal of bettering herself and her teammates at the forefront of her mind. Rudi leads by example and sets a very high standard for herself and subsequently, her team. Being part of a team sport often means making sacrifices for the advancement of your team. Rudi, throughout all four years of high school, has been selfless time and time again. Rudi ALWAYS shows up.”

“Being awarded the Michelle Chalk Scholarship would be an incredible honor and hold immense meaning to me because it signifies Michelle’s legacy, her influence, and the values she embodied. This scholarship is not only a financial aid; it is a tribute to the kindness, positivity, and indefatigable spirit for which Michelle stood. In Fort Thomas, she was and remained the symbol of bright light and joy, leaving ever-lasting impressions on all who had the great fortune to know her.
I remember Michelle as an older cheerleader in the FTJC program who embodied graciousness and enthusiasm. One year during the Fourth of July parade, Michelle and Erin Barker sat with me while we were waiting around, and I still remember how encouraging and uplifting she was. Her confident demeanor, kindness, and palpable love for the people surrounding her mesmerized me even in my youth. She would take a foothold in my heart, and at that point, she became someone I aspired to; not merely as a cheerleader then, but also on the human level.
