Dorthy Henage Miller, born December 13, 1911, in Grant County, died November 14, 1992. She was a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University, where she received a distinguished award for being an outstanding teacher. In 1972 Mrs. Miller retired from Robert D. Johnson Elementary School, where she had taught third grade for 15 years. During her forty-year career, she taught in Grant, Kenton, and Campbell Counties as well as in the Cincinnati School system.
She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma and was a volunteer at St. Luke Hospital. She was very active at the First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ where she taught Sunday school for 50 years. She was a member of the Christian Women’s Fellowship and was active in all phases of church life.
