Alice Wood Miller, the daughter-in-law of Harold and Dorthy and daughter of Margaret and William Wood, was born December 21, 1945, in Washington D.C., died September 15, 1995. She was a graduate of Highlands High School and the University of Cincinnati. She taught at Woodfill Elementary School since the mid-1970s and before that at Johnson Elementary and the Cincinnati Psychiatric Center.
She was an active member of her church, the Ft. Thomas Education Association, the Kentucky Education Association, and the National Education Association.
At Woodfill, Alice taught a learning disabilities class for a number of years, and also taught the third grade and primary school (first through third grades). She cared about her students, especially those with learning disabilities. Her co-workers described her as a loving, caring person; one who was devoted to her family and her work at school.
