The Michelle Chalk FUNd

The Michelle Chalk FUNd, established through The Karen Wellington Foundation, seeks to provide FUN
activities for breast cancer patients and their families. This FUNd is named after Michelle Chalk (pictured above, center). She was the loving care giver of her mother, Patty Chalk, who was diagnosed with breast cancer in January of 2014.

Thanks to the generosity of The Karen Wellington Foundation and their donors, The Chalk Family was the recipient of a fun-filled vacation to Steamboat Springs Colorado, in July of 2016. This included a spa day for Patty and horseback riding for Michelle.

In the Spring of 2017 Michelle served on the Highlands Middle School Student Council. Her experience
inspired her to pay-it-forward and raise money for The Karen Wellington Foundation so that other breast cancer patients and their families can have FUN experiences. Michelle and her classmates raised $127.98.

In Michelle’s memory, Keith and Patty periodically donate $127.98 to The Karen Wellington Foundation, and invite you to donate as well, if you feel moved to do so. The Michelle Chalk FUNd will provide FUN activities for breast cancer patients and their families. Whatever the adventure, it will be a FUN experience. With this FUNd, you will assist us in honoring the memories of Karen Wellington, as well as, Michelle. Additionally, you will help us help other women who are diagnosed and recovering from breast cancer by putting some FUN on their calendars.
